Firmware Update

Updating firmware on the LC16E uses a USB mass-storage approach — no special software needed. Download the firmware file, put the controller into update mode, and drag the file over.

Steps

  1. Download the firmware file from the section above.
  2. Hold down Button 13, then hold down Button 16.
  3. All LEDs blink, then after ~5 seconds they stay continuously lit — the controller is in update mode.
  4. A USB drive mounts on your connected PC.
  5. Drag the downloaded firmware .uf2 file onto the USB drive.
  6. Wait for the transfer to complete — the controller reboots automatically on the new firmware.

⚠ Important

Do not unplug the USB cable while the firmware file is transferring. Wait for the controller to reboot on its own.
